Living Meditation
What is meditation?
To meditate is to be fully in the present moment. It is the expansion of the heart and mind through a deep connection with your breath. To go beyond day-to-day consciousness that we are just this body and these emotions and thoughts which cause us fear, anxiety and depression. Discover the higher consciousness or pure state of the mind, spiritual reality which is based on intuition and wisdom that is independent of body, emotions, thoughts and external circumstance.
Meditation is a journey to the inner world. It is feeling and experiencing the true nature of the mind when being led by the higher consciousness. This part of the mind is still, clear, vibrant and alive. It fills our lives with love, compassion, wisdom, insight, strength, courage, perseverance and unstoppable spirit.
Meditation is about feeling and experiencing the inner peace, the empty silence between each breath. It is surrendering and letting go. It is trusting, believing and allowing your inner self to guide you rather than thinking, worrying and trying to control (this is called true faith).
An easy way to explain meditation is like pouring clear water in to a cup of muddy water until it is pure water again. It clears out the blocked energy, negative thoughts, negative believes and behaviors that are stored in our memories, our body and our mind, and which manifest as aches and pains throughout the body. If these blockages are left unattended, they can lead to depression, financial problems or illness in your body and mind.
When the mind is in its pure state, like a mirror cleansed of dust, it will then reflect undistorted images of reality, allowing us to go beneath the surface and perceive the essential spiritual quality of all life’s experiences.
One can also chant mantra while focusing on the breath. By using the power of sound, breath, visualization and intention, you will make your meditation even more powerful.
Through the practice of daily meditation and mantra chanting you will come to experience every moment of your life is meditation. This is what I call living meditation.
By practicing meditation every day you allow your inner light or soul to infuse into your daily life. As this happens you will see big changes in yourself such as:
A sense of peace and joy throughout the body and mind.
Feel strong and powerful from the core of your being.
The ability to see yourself clearly.
More trust and less need to control.
A deep sense of belonging.
A sense of connectedness arises in your heart and mind
Wanting to spend more time in nature.
Have more compassion for oneself and others.
Feel more appreciated and give unconditionally
Feel safe and secure internally and externally.
Willingness to share and be more open.
